Narrative Description of Project :
Following the feasibility study sponsored by JCI and also undertaken by WEST JEC, PLN decided to launch this Project, aiming at increasing power supply in North Sulawesi and promoting utilization of indigenous renewable energy, to construct a 20 MW geothermal power plant (Unit-3) following Unit-2 (20 MW, financed by ADB). The site for Unit-3 is about 3 km away from Unit-1 (20 MW, existing) and Unit-2. Steam for the power plant will be supplied by the steam developer, PERTAMINA.
