PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Units
to be rehabilitated are 4 units of 55 MW at Tiwi GPP and 4 units
of 55 MW at Mak-Ban GPP. Tiwi and Mak-Ban started the commercial
operation in 1979. Both plants heavily deteriorated after 18 years
operation and needed to be rehabilitated for reliable operation
at the rated output as well as to extend the life of these plants.
With financial
assistance of the Overseas
Economic Cooperation Fund(OECF) ,
the project started in April 1997. WEST JEC associated with PGI,
the steam developer/supplier for both power plants, had been provided
the engineering services.
