As an engineering consulting firm, West Japan Engineering
Consultants, Inc. (West JEC) provides engineering services for projects
involving thermal, geothermal, diesel, gas turbine combined cycle,
hydraulic, wind power, refuse and wastes, fluidized bed combustion,
nuclear power generation, transmission and distribution in Japan and
overseas. Our services include environmental impact assessments, geothermal
resources survey, civil engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering,
electrical engineering as well as economic evaluation. West JEC was
founded in 1967 as a subsidiary of the Kyushu Electric Power Company
with an installed capacity of more than 23,000MW. Over the years,
our core staff competent and experienced engineers have developed
a number of power plants for electric utilities. We have particular
expertise in electric and public utilities and a wealth of engineering
know-how for every type of the electric energy development including
rehabilitation and renovation of existing power plants. In the area
of technological innovation, we have developed an advanced method
that shortens construction time and lowers total costs especially
in the case of geothermal power generation. Our original software
for technical and administrative computation also promotes faster
communication and more efficient business operations. The company's
technical strength is underpinned by a company-wide commitment to
quality, with the entire company working under a Quality Assurance
system which is certified to ISO 9001. Headquartered in Fukuoka, West
JEC has seven regional business offices in Japan and three agents
in the Philippines, Indonesia and Guatemala. The international market
